Accessibility Statement
Effective from 26 October 2026.
STEP in Care wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA for public pages and enquiry forms. This statement describes our current position and how to request help.
Current accessibility status
The website has been designed with accessibility in mind, but a complete manual accessibility audit has not been completed. In particular, testing with NVDA and VoiceOver has not yet been documented. We therefore cannot confirm full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance at this time.
Our review scope covers keyboard access, visible focus, page structure, form labels and errors, zoom and reflow, text spacing, contrast and screen-reader behaviour. We will update this statement when a documented review changes the status or identifies specific limitations.
Need information or an adjustment?
If you have difficulty using a page, form or document, or need information in another format or help to make an enquiry, email info@stepincare.co.uk. Tell us the page or task and what would help. Do not include detailed health information unless it is needed to explain the adjustment.
We aim to acknowledge your message within 2 working days and provide a substantive response within 10 working days. If a fix or adjustment takes longer, we will explain the next steps and update you within a further 10 working days.
For general enquiries, email info@stepincare.co.uk.
Technical information
The website is intended to work with current versions of common browsers and assistive technologies. We continue to check compatibility as the site changes. Some older browsers or devices may not support every feature.
Enforcement and feedback
STEP in Care Limited is a private service provider. The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to STEP as a private company. STEP remains committed to making reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 and improving the website.
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility request, email info@stepincare.co.uk and ask for the issue to be reviewed by STEP management.
